He was greeted by brothers Carl, Bob, Gene, and sister Naomi. Later, he was joined by brother Dale. Kenny passed away on December 29, 2021, at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center.

Kenny loved being around his family. He also had a passion for being a farmer. He worked on his farm all his life except for four years that he lived in Oregon. He was a quiet man, but he could carry on a conversation with anyone wherever he was.

Kenny graduated from Beaconsfield Consolidated School in 1945. While in high school, he met his soul mate Virginia Lee Walters. On February 2, 1947, they were united in marriage at the Beaconsfield United Methodist Church. They enjoyed 74 years together. To this union was born Jerry, Larry, Shirley, and Deborah. Kenny had 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Kenny was a 4-H leader, MYF leader, little league coach, board member of the Beaconsfield Consolidated School, board member of Creston Swine Show, member of Beaconsfield basketball and baseball town teams, and a member of the Beaconsfield Methodist Church.

Kenny will be greatly missed by his wife, Virginia, and children Larry (Cathy) McAlexander of Prairie du Sac, WI, Deborah (Dan) Van Horn of Bloomfield, IA; daughter-in-law Rosalie McAlexander of Beaconsfield, IA. He will also be missed by brother Gene McAlexander; sister-in-law Joy McAlexander; sisters-in-law Jane Pallas and Peggy Christianson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jerry McAlexander and daughter Shirley McAlexander; siblings and spouses Carl and Marjorie McAlexander, Bob and LaVara McAlexander, Naomi and Don Johnston, Dale McAlexander sister-in-law Esther McAlexander.
