Nadine Ann Dryer, daughter of Merlin & Gertrude (Lawrence) Clement, was born September 13, 1952 in Massachusetts. Nadine moved to the Murray & Hopeville area as a child and went to Murray High School.
Nadine had a strong work ethic and she worked in construction; was a cook; and had most recently worked at Mosaic In South Central Iowa in Osceola. On June 17, 1989, Nadine was united in marriage to her soul mate, Robert Dryer, at Spruce Creek Campground, Bellevue, IA. For the last 15 years, they have made their home on a farm NE of Ellston, Iowa.
Nadine was a fun-loving lady who enjoyed life and the people around her. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Osceola. She volunteered at the food pantry and Cross Ministries. She enjoyed being a “Red Hat Lady”. Nadine’s family was important to her and she loved spending time with them. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She made quilts for all of her grandchildren and taught them how to quilt. The annual trip to Adventureland with her grandkids was very important to her and she looked forward to it. Nadine loved her dogs, from little Chihuahua’s up to her large dog, Bam Bam! Nadine enjoyed playing Bingo, collecting oil lamps, anything clowns and Tweety-Bird. Nadine will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nadine passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren Lillian & Ryker; brothers Joseph and Donald Davison; sisters Dorothy Sherman and Beverly Davison.
Those left to cherish and share her memory include her husband Bob Dryer of Ellston, IA; children Tonia (Mike) DeLong of Geneseo, IL, Dave (Mindy) DeLong of Stuart, IA, Shane (Melissa) DeLong of Clinton, IA, Lisa (Ryan) Offield of Ellston, IA, Robert (Gretchen) Dryer of Maquoketa, IA, Neil Gossman of Cedar Rapids, IA and Heather Gossman of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren Kayla Fuller, Megan Manning, Tiffany McVay, Melissa Edwards, Christa DeLong, Alex DeLong, Brandon DeLong, Dan DeLong, Gunner DeLong, David DeLong, Leo DeLong, and Willow Dryer; great grandchildren Elijah Nimrick, Oliver Fuller, Maxwell Fuller, Aundrea, C.J. and Hunter Rubio; brothers Jake Davison and Ken Davison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
